【伊勢山皇大神宮】

神奈川県横浜市西区宮崎町。

かっては、　横浜の港町を一望できたであろう高台にあります。
創建は、明治3年。日の丸が国旗となり、新橋・横浜間の鉄道が着工した年になります。

キリスト教を始めとする外来文化の流入地である横浜港。

日本人の精神的支柱として「神社が必要」として、掃部山公園(推定地)に建てられ

翌年、伊勢神宮の遥拝所・県内の総社として、
現在の野毛山に作られました。
手水をし、参拝をすると、
他の神社よりも「スッー」とした感じのする素晴らしい神社です。

神宮に使われた旧社殿の材料は、
各地で用いられていますが、一宇まるごとははじめてとのことです。

It is located on a hill that once likely offered a panoramic view of Yokohama’s port town.

Established in 1870 (Meiji 3), the same year the Hinomaru became Japan’s national flag and railway construction between Shimbashi and Yokohama began.

Since ancient times, Yokohama Port has served as a gateway for foreign cultures, including Christianity.

Recognizing the need for a shrine as a spiritual pillar for the Japanese people, it was initially built in what is believed to be the current Kamonyama Park.

The following year, it was relocated to present-day Nogeyama, serving as an expedition worship site for Ise Jingu and the prefecture’s main shrine.

When purifying your hands and offering prayers, you can feel an atmosphere of tranquility and serenity unmatched by other shrines.
